They will research people who they would like to model, learn about the characteristics of their heroes, and decide what skills they will have to develop during school to be like their heroes. They will then begin to plan their own progression toward their careers of choice by creating "fantasy résumés" that list both their present accomplishments and things they hope to do in the future.
