VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS
Field trips enhance learning by motivating and engaging students in a way that makes subject matter come alive. Using a project based approach, participants will learn about the taking and making of virtual field trips using the World Wide Web. Participants will create meaningful lessons centered around virtual field trips and will participate in creating their own unique virtual field trips.

ASSIGNMENT:
You and your "Cyberstudent" will create a "mini" virtual field trip to a chosen location for the afternoon. We have listed some sites that will give you some ideas for this project. You also will have time to search for graphics and background information on your own. You might even want to think about making this part of your webquest. You may present your project with your "cyberstudent" using PowerPoint, Inspiration, Word, Composer, Publisher, etc. The choice is yours. We will also have the digital camera ready if you'd like to have a picture made of you and your student to insert in a background photo. Remember AltaVista and Google have a search for images that is easy and quick. Keep in mind that you will have from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to prepare this project. We will need to begin presentations by 12:00 pm. Students will be leaving at 1:00 p.m.
