Classroom Expectations

1.        Students will complete ALL homework on time. If a student has difficulty completing the assignment, he or she must at least be able to demonstrate that he has put forth a good effort to learn the information.  Just coming to class with the excuse of “I didn’t understand” is not acceptable.

2.       Students will use study time as such.

3.       Students who are absent will be expected to come by the first day they are back to get    missing work.  Make up of test and quizzes will be given the first day back in class unless discussed with me.

4.       Students are to have all materials each day.

5.       Students are to respect others, their belongings, and their right to learn.

6.       Students are to remain in class the entire time unless an emergency arises.  Any reason for leaving will result in a tardy.

7.       Students are to refrain from eating, drinking, and chewing gum in class.  Water is permissible.

8.       Students are to copy any notes missed due to an absence of any kind.

9.       Students are to follow all other rules as outlined in the student handbook. (i.e. tardy, insubordination, etc…)

Disciplinary Action for Classroom Rule Infractions:

1^st offense – warning, phone call attempt

2^nd offense – 1 hr. detention

3^rd offense – 2 hrs. detention

4^th offense – 4 hrs. detention

5^th offense – Night School

6^th offense – Night School

                                                                    7^th offense – Withdrawn with an “F”
