Dear Parent: Courses taught in the Family and Consumer Science Department are designed to help our students make the most of their time, talents, needs, interests, and resources. We, like the armed services, want our students to "be all they can be." The teachers in this department are "vocational" teachers. Because we are vocational, we are allowed to have an advisory board that meets at various times during the year. The advisory board acts as a liaison between the community and the teachers. We work together as a team to make our courses the best at helping students make the most of their time, talents, needs, resources, and interests. An advisory board also helps to create new classes, suggest projects, fieldtrips, and speakers. Members also help get approval from the school board. This year our advisory board will be "virtual." We want to contact members and have them contact us by e-mail. If you would like to be a member of our virtual advisory board please email me with the following information: Name, address, phone number, email address, and how you would like to help our classes.
